M8N1. f. Estimate square roots of postive numbers

What is an square root ? A divisor of a quantity that when squared gives the quantity. For example, the square roots of 25 are 5 and −5 because 5 × 5 = 25 and (−5) × (−5) = 25.
What is estimate square root ? A number that is the closet to a square root. For example, the square root of 69 is 8 somn.
Example 1

<----8----6----4----2---0---2---4---6---8---->

so you have an number line....say if they ask the estimate of 35 you would pick six because the square root six is 36 therefore 35 if closer to six then any other numbe.!
Example 2
what is the estimate of 17?

<----8----6----4----2---0---2---4---6---8---->
so the estimate square root would be 4, because the square root of 4 is 16.!
