M8A4.c.Graph equations of the form y=mx+b

*y=mx+b is the slope formula*

y= -3x + 4

Form  y=-3x+4
Slope -3
y-intercept 4

Example #2

y= 2x+6

Form  y=2x+6
Slope 2
y-intercept 6

  1. when graphing equations you look at your y-intercept
  2. you look at your slope and see if its positive or negetive slope
  3. do rise/run from your y-intercept
  4. identifiy your slope & y-intercept
  5. draw your line threw your points
Example #1
